The Ridgewater Women's Basketball team tipped off MCAC conference play on Wednesday with a tough road test against Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Coming off a 6-9 non-conference slate, the Warriors looked to build momentum as they entered the heart of their season.
Anoka-Ramsey came out firing, and despite several strong Ridgewater runs, the Warriors couldn't quite close the gap, ultimately falling 75–53. Charlize Arcoren continued her steady offensive presence, leading the Warriors with 15 points and dishing out 3 assists. Madison Norsten battled on both ends, adding 9 points and snagging 9 rebounds to keep Ridgewater within striking distance throughout the night.
Now sitting at 6–10 overall, the Warriors are hungry to bounce back. They'll hit the road again on Wednesday as they travel to St. Cloud, aiming to reset the tone of their conference campaign and take down the Cyclones.
