Goodman, Michels Lead Wrestling Effort at Invitational Events

Strong performances across multiple tournaments highlighted a productive stretch for the wrestling team as several athletes earned top finishes at regional open events.

At the Augsburg Invitational, freshman Jarred Goodman competed in a deep 184-pound freshman class and battled his way to a fourth-place finish. Goodman showcased consistency throughout the tournament, earning multiple wins against tough competition and continuing to establish himself early in his collegiate career.

The MSUM Open also saw a solid showing, led by Gabriel Michels, who placed fourth in the Open 125-pound division. Michels faced a challenging field that included experienced wrestlers from several programs and demonstrated resilience and technical skill throughout the day.

At the Worthington Open, the team added two more placers. Caleb Michels earned a seventh-place finish in the Open 149-pound class, grinding through a competitive bracket. Goodman returned to the mat once again, this time in the Open 184-pound division, where he secured a fifth-place finish, further proving his ability to compete successfully against upper-level opponents.

Overall, the results reflect continued progress and depth across the lineup as the wrestlers gain valuable experience against strong competition heading deeper into the season.
