The Ridgewater men's and women's basketball teams traveled north to Fergus Falls and returned home with a clean sweep, earning a pair of decisive MCAC Conference victories over Minnesota State–Fergus Falls.
The Warrior women set the tone early with a commanding 89–38 win over the Lady Spartans. Ridgewater exploded out of the gate with a 19–6 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Julia Hines paced the offense with 21 points, while Madison Norsten added 19 points, and Kelsey Jaeger contributed 12.
Kyra Jensen delivered one of the most complete performances of the night, filling the stat sheet with 7 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals as the Warriors improved to 2–1 in conference play and 8–11 overall.
On the men's side, Ridgewater overcame a slow start after falling behind 15–4 in the first seven minutes. From there, the Warriors locked in defensively and surged ahead, outscoring the Spartans 39–17 to close the first half. The second half belonged entirely to Ridgewater, who dominated 50–30 to secure a 93–62 victory.
Tyrese Mayo led the Warriors with 18 points, while John Hooker added 15. DeQuarious Marks (13), DeAndre Holloway (12), and Brenton McKinney (10) also reached double figures as Ridgewater improved to 3–1 in conference play and 14–3 overall.
Both Ridgewater squads now turn their attention to another conference matchup as they travel to Riverland Community College on Saturday.
