WILLMAR, Minn. — The Ridgewater College women's basketball team delivered one of its most explosive offensive performances of the season Saturday night, rolling past St. Cloud Technical CC 95-71 in Minnesota College Athletic Conference play.
From the opening tip, Ridgewater's attack was relentless — mixing inside dominance, pinpoint ball movement and confident perimeter shooting to build a lead that never truly ebbed after the first quarter.
Balanced Scoring Fuels Early Advantage
Freshman guard Madison Norsten led the charge with a game-high 29 points, combining pull-up jumpers and timely drives to convert inside traffic. Norsten was efficient from the floor and added 13 rebounds and 6 assists, showcasing her all-around impact on both ends.
Freshman guard Aly Wendlandt came off the bench to energize the second unit, scoring 19 points while drilling a trio of threes in the 1st quarter that helped the Warriors get off to a hot start.
The Warriors travel to St. Joesph on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup with Saint Benedict's JV. The Warriors will return home on Saturday for another MCAC Conference matchup with Minnesota State Fergus Falls. The Warriors improve to 10-13 on the year and 4-3 in conference play!
