The Ridgewater Warriors entered the Region 13A Tournament as the No. 3 seed from the South after finishing the regular season with a 12–15 overall record and a 6–4 mark in MCAC play. Ridgewater opened the tournament against the No. 2 seed from the North, Mesabi Range, and delivered a strong performance to advance to the championship game.
The Warriors set the tone early, jumping out to a 17–7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Kelsey Jaeger provided an immediate spark, going 3-for-3 in the opening period and leading all scorers with six early points. Ridgewater continued to build momentum throughout the first half, taking a commanding 40–29 lead into halftime.
Ridgewater maintained control in the second half and secured a 69–52 victory over Mesabi Range. Jaeger led the Warriors with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Madison Norsten recorded a strong all-around performance with nine points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. From beyond the arc, the Warriors connected on 9-of-31 three-point attempts while holding Mesabi Range to just 2-of-27 shooting from deep.
With the win, Ridgewater advanced to the Region 13A Championship game to face top-seeded Minnesota West. The Blue Jays came out strong in the title matchup, building an early 24–5 lead in the first quarter. Minnesota West maintained its momentum throughout the game and went on to claim the championship with a 78–40 victory.
Julia Hines led the Warriors offensively in the championship game with nine points. Jaeger added seven points, while Norsten contributed six.
Despite the loss, Ridgewater finished the season with a 13–16 overall record and a Region 13A runner-up finish. The Warriors will graduate two sophomores, Julia Hines and Charlize Arcoren. Hines was a full-time starter for Ridgewater this season and scored 265 points, while Arcoren started six games and finished the year with 197 points and 42 assists.
The season marked a strong step forward for the Warriors, highlighted by their postseason run and a trip to the Region 13A championship game.
